Continuing Dental Education Program at Chandigarh
ICD Section VI (India, Sri Lanka & Nepal) & IDA Chandigarh State Branch successfully organized a Continuing Dental Education (CDE) program on “Indirect Composite Restorations in Children” on 20th June at Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration (MGSIPA), Sector 26, Chandigarh.
The programme featured an enlightening lecture by Dr. Hitesh Mittal, Associate Professor, ESIC Gulbarga, who shared his expertise and clinical experience in the field of pediatric restorative dentistry. The session was well attended by around 35 dental practitioners, academicians and postgraduate students from the region.
Dr. Hitesh elaborated on the indications, evidence base and clinical advantages of indirect composite restorations in children, highlighting their role in contemporary pediatric dental practice. He also presented a detailed overview of the step by step clinical and laboratory procedures involved in fabrication and placement of these restorations.
An important component of the programme was the discussion on recent advances in pulp therapy for children, which generated significant interest among the participants. The scientific session concluded with an interactive table demonstration on the fabrication of indirect restorations, providing attendees with valuable practical insights and hands on learning opportunities.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation and active interaction between the speaker and delegates making it an academically enriching experience for all present.
The session was followed by dinner at the Dining Hall of MPSIPA.
