ICD (India, Sri Lanka, Nepal Section VI),Eastern Zone in association with Rotary Club of Patna conducted the Dental Screening and Oral Health Awareness Camp at National Institute of Technology (NIT)Patna on 30th.September 2026.

A total of 185 students and college faculty members underwent comprehensive dental check-up and were educated  on proper brushing techniques and healthy dietary habits and prevention of common oral disease.

The camp was well organized and conducted by Zonal Regent Dr. Amit Ram along with 4 other dental Surgeons including Fellow Dr. Amit kumar Singh. Past President Dr. Rajeev Lall was also present in the camp.

A CDE was organised at Hotel Mercury at Ranchi under the agesis of ICD Section VI Eastern zone on 25 July 2026.

It was in conjunction with Indian dental Association, Ranchi branch and supported by Colgate.

The speaker was Prof Dr Anuj Kumar, a leading oral and maxillofacial facial surgeon of Ranchi.

He spoke about management of medical emergencies in a dental clinic. Past president, Prof Dr Rajeev Lall, Regent Eastern Zone Dr Amit Ram, Fellow Prof Dr Anurag Rai & Fellow Dr Saurav Purbay attended the program virtually and guided the event.

About 40 dental surgeons of various cities of Jharkhand attended the programme.

They were enlightened about the mission of international College of Dentist and its role in recognising outstanding work done by them.

ICD Section VI Eastern Zone organised a CDE on “Clinical Implications of Etoricoxib in Dental Pain” on 13^th May 2025…. Speaker was HOD Oral Medicine Dr. Amit Kr Singh.

The CDE was well attended by ICD Fellows and many more Dental Surgeons from Patna.

It was an interactive session regarding Pain management.

Zonal Regent Dr. Amit Ram welcomed and briefed the audience regarding the work done and future projects to be undertaken.  He also talked about the success of the Convocation

Past President Fellow Dr. Rajeev Lall proposed the vote of thanks and encouraged the younger dentist to join the ICD.

A CDE program was held on 18 September at Ranchi under the aegis of ICD Section 6, East Zone under the guidance of Past President ICD, Section 6, Prof Dr Rajeev Lall & Prof Dr Amit Ram, Regent ICD East Zone. The speakers were Dr Rohit Agarwal BDS LLB on the topic of Medico legal issues for Dentists & Prof Dr Anshu Sahu, HOD Department of Orthodontics, Hazaribag Dental College and Deputy Regent East Zone. It was well attended by about 40 dentists of Dhanbad, Daltonganj, Silli, Gumla, Hazaribag, Ranchi and other districts of Jharkhand, including Registrar of Jharkhand State Dental Council, and senior ICD Fellow Prof Dr Narendra Nath Singh, HOD Oral Pathology, RIMS Dental College & Prof Dr Saurav Purbay. It was followed by question answer interactive session.

ICD Section VI, Eastern Zone organized a CDE on 26thJuly 2024. The topic was “Orthodontics- Various Treatment Modalities” by Dr. Anurag Rai, Prof and HOD, Patna Govt Dental College…All the ICD Fellows of Bihar along with many other Dental surgeons  attended the CDE. Zonal Regent Dr.Amit Ram welcomed  the speaker Dr. Anurag Rai… Dr.Amit Ram also talked about the projects to be undertaken by the eastern zone during the year….Past President ICD Dr.Rajeev Lall proposed the vote of thanks.

ICD Section VI Eastern Zone along with Department of Community Dentistry,  Patna Dental College &Hospital….Organized a mega dental health checkup camp at St. Karen’s Collegiate School , organized by Zonal Regent Dr. Amit Ram….where around more than 500 students over a period of 3 days were screened and oral hygiene maintenance tips was given. We had around 17 doctors who were in charge of the entire camp. A special thanks to the principal of the School Mrs. Manisha Lall who felicitated us with a letter of appreciation….A wonderful gesture….ICD would also like to thank Dr. Minti, HOD Community Dentistry for being a part of this mega camp.. .it was well covered in the print media.
