Donation, 21st April 2026

On 21st April 2026, the International College of Dentists (ICD) Section VI – Eastern Zone, had the privilege of donating a wheelchair to a Women’s Rehabilitation Center in Patna.

The beneficiary, an elderly woman with significant mobility limitations, received much-needed assistance through this initiative. This project was both meaningful and fulfilling, reflecting ICD’s commitment to enhancing mobility and improving the overall quality of life for those in need.

The event was graced by the presence of Past President Fellow Dr. Rajeev Lall, Zonal Regent Dr. Amit Ram, Fellow Dr. Anurag Rai, and Fellow Dr. Amit Kumar Singh.

Oral Health Awareness Camp, 30/03/2026

The Department of Public Health Dentistry, K.D. Dental College & Hospital, Mathura, in collaboration with the International College of Dentists (India, Sri Lanka and Nepal Section VI), organized a dental screening and oral health awareness camp at Pt Devdutt Memorial Intercollege Chatta, Mathura on March 30, 2026.

The camp provided essential oral health services to 250 children, educating them on the importance of oral health and proper brushing techniques. The programme aimed to promote overall community well-being by raising awareness about proper oral hygiene practices.

World Oral Health Day, 22/03/2026

World Oral Health Day 2026 & World Down Syndrome Day 2026 celebrations at the Government Rehabilitation institute for intellectual disabilities (GRIID) Chandigarh

To commemorate World Oral Health Day 2026 and World Down Syndrome Day 2026, IDA Chandigarh State Branch & ICD Section VI (India, Sri Lanka & Nepal) in collaboration with Department of Dentistry, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh and OHSC, PGIMER, Chandigarh organized a drawing competition and an oral health checkup camp at the Government Rehabilitation Institute for Intellectual Disabilities (GRIID), Sector 31, Chandigarh.

Prizes were awarded to the winners of the drawing competition along with participation certificates for all participants. Around 40 students were examined and will receive free dental treatment.

A colorful kit containing an ultrasoft toothbrush and toothpaste was also distributed among the students.

CDE, 15/03/2026

CDE Program on Endodontics by ICD & IDA, Chandigarh

The International College of Dentists (Section VI) in collaboration with IDA Chandigarh State Branch organized a full day CDE program “Endodontic Extravaganza” on 15th March 2026 at Hotel The LaLiT, Chandigarh. The program was conducted by renowned speakers Dr. Kranthi Raja who is currently serving as Adjunct Professor at Faculty of Dentistry (MAHSA University) Malaysia, Adjunct Professor at Saveetha Dental College and Hospital in Chennai, Visiting professor at SIBAR Institute of Dental Sciences. He also serving as Honorary Advisor for Asia Pacific Dental Industry Association and Dr. Jasneel Singh Grover, a post graduate from Guru Ram Das Institute of Dental Sciences & Research with top academic honors. He has more than 8 publications in reputed national and international journals.

The event witnessed an enthusiastic participation of over 75 delegates, out of which 55 actively took part in the hands on session. Owing to the overwhelming demand, the number of hands on participants was increased from the initially planned 30 to 55 to accommodate all interested candidates.

The scientific session was highly informative and featured a live demonstration followed by an engaging hands on workshop on “Demystifying the MB2 Canal” which was greatly appreciated by the participants.

A sumptuous lunch was served to all attendees at the hotel’s restaurant adding to the overall experience of the event.

Fellow Dr. R P Gupta, Fellow Dr. Arpit Gupta, Fellow Dr. Gurvanit Kaur Lehl, Fellow Dr. Mukesh Dhameja, Fellow Dr. R K Takkar, Fellow Dr. Ashish Gupta & Fellow Dr. Varun Bajaj participated.

Following the CDE program, the Executive Committee (EC) meeting of IDA Chandigarh was conducted in the Board Room (Quorum 1) at Hotel The LaLiT

Dental Rendezvous, 18/03/2026

A camp was conducted by Dr Anupam Bhargava, Dr Moni Bhargava and his team at Akshay Prathistan, a school for Special children under the banner of ICD section VI – North Zone, where nearly 250 children and teachers underwent Dental rendezvous!

Following activities were carried out

1. Survey the children with DMFS index.

2. ⁠Educating the social workers and teachers on dental issues.

3. ⁠Story telling animated presentation about oral health care to children.

4. ⁠Distribution of toothpaste, brush, mouth washes to students, teachers and social workers.

The graceful attendance, guidance and enthusiasm of senior fellows Dr Sharad Kapoor Sir, President Elect, Dr (Prof) M.S. Sidhu Sir, Ex Dean SGT Dental College, Gurugram motivated the children and staff.

Their talk to the management and social workers was much appreciated and absorbed by children in their concept of oral health care.

Dr Prem Tiwari was wholeheartedly involved in arranging and execution.

Dr Muskan Goel also created an animated story regarding the empire of oral kingdom!

Oral Health Awareness, December 20, 2025 (North)

“Department of Public Health Dentistry, K.D. Dental College & Hospital, Mathura, in collaboration with the International College of Dentists (India, Sri Lanka and Nepal Section VI), organized a dental screening, treatment, and oral health awareness camp at Bhari ka Nagla, Mathura on November 20, 2025.

A total of 63 patients benefited from the camp, which aimed to provide comprehensive oral health care services, promote awareness on proper oral hygiene practices, and improve overall community oral health.

The camp included dental screening, on-site treatments like oral prophylaxis, restorations, and extractions, and referrals for specialized care at K.D. Dental College & Hospital. Oral health education sessions emphasized the importance of good oral hygiene, regular check-ups, and prevention of oral diseases.

This initiative successfully enhanced access to oral health care and raised awareness among the community. K.D. Dental College & Hospital remains committed to serving the community and promoting oral health.
