International College of Dentists was formed in USA in 1920 and gradually increased its presence globally, ICD Section VI was formed in 1964 including India, Srilanka and Nepal
Presently Dr VS Kohli is President ICD Section VI, Dr Yogesh Virmani is Secretary General, Dr Anil Kohli is Council Member, Dr Meera Verma is immediate Past President Dr.S.M. Balaji is President Elect Dr Srikanth Desai is Regent South Zone, and Dr N Kannan is Deputy Regent South Zone.
ICD Fellowship is an honor given in recognition of Dentists who have accomplished
Academic Achievements, Research Work, Leadership, Humanitarian Projects aimed at improving Health and Education for the People, Service to Profession and Service to the Public.
Healthy mouth and healthy teeth are important to do many important activities like Chewing food, tasting food, swallowing food, digesting food, having a good smile and good breath which helps us in having good self esteem, confidence in dealing with life, good socializing, ability to speak, sing and talk

Oral health is very important in Pregnancy since dental pain and dental infections can cause low birth weight and even abortions
Mathru seva pathakam introduced in Narayana Dental College and Hospital offers free Oral Health Screening done by Dr N Kannan Professor and Head, Oral Medicine and Radiology, Deputy Regent South Zone along with his team of doctors followed by free dental treatment. This helps in improving health of Pregnant ladies and child growing in their womb. Tobacco Cessation Clinic helps people to quit Tobacco habits. Screening for Oral Cancers helps in early detection and treatment of Oral Cancers.

Program was done in Dodla Lakshmi Narasa Reddy Government School with Oral Health Screening by Dr N Kannan Deputy Regent South Zone, ICD Section VI, Dr Srikanth Embeti ICD Fellow, Dr Akkireddy Rajsekhar Secretary IDA Nellore Branch, Dr Niranjan Babu, Treasurer IDA Nellore Branch, Dr Harsha CDH Co Chairman IDA Nellore Branch, Dr Javeed E.C. Member IDA Nellore Branch and Dr Kranthi for Children with Special Needs including Autistic, Down Syndrome, Hearing Impaired, Visual Impaired Children and followed by distribution of notebooks, pens, pencils, erasers, Oral hygiene kits and toys
