    CDE on “Medico legal issues” at Ranchi on 18th September 2024

    A CDE program was held on 18 September at Ranchi under the aegis of ICD Section 6, East Zone under the guidance of Past President ICD, Section 6, Prof Dr Rajeev Lall & Prof Dr Amit Ram, Regent ICD East Zone. The speakers were Dr Rohit Agarwal BDS LLB on the topic of Medico legal issues for Dentists & Prof Dr Anshu Sahu, HOD Department of Orthodontics, Hazaribag Dental College and Deputy Regent East Zone. It was well attended by about 40 dentists of Dhanbad, Daltonganj, Silli, Gumla, Hazaribag, Ranchi and other districts of Jharkhand, including Registrar of Jharkhand State Dental Council, and senior ICD Fellow Prof Dr Narendra Nath Singh, HOD Oral Pathology, RIMS Dental College & Prof Dr Saurav Purbay. It was followed by question answer interactive session.

    CDE on “Orthodontic – Various Treatment Modalities”

    ICD Section VI, Eastern Zone organized a CDE on 26thJuly 2024. The topic was “Orthodontics- Various Treatment Modalities” by Dr. Anurag Rai, Prof and HOD, Patna Govt Dental College…All the ICD Fellows of Bihar along with many other Dental surgeons  attended the CDE. Zonal Regent Dr.Amit Ram welcomed  the speaker Dr. Anurag Rai… Dr.Amit Ram also talked about the projects to be undertaken by the eastern zone during the year….Past President ICD Dr.Rajeev Lall proposed the vote of thanks.

    Mega Dental Checkup

    ICD Section VI Eastern Zone along with Department of Community Dentistry,  Patna Dental College &Hospital….Organized a mega dental health checkup camp at St. Karen’s Collegiate School , organized by Zonal Regent Dr. Amit Ram….where around more than 500 students over a period of 3 days were screened and oral hygiene maintenance tips was given. We had around 17 doctors who were in charge of the entire camp. A special thanks to the principal of the School Mrs. Manisha Lall who felicitated us with a letter of appreciation….A wonderful gesture….ICD would also like to thank Dr. Minti, HOD Community Dentistry for being a part of this mega camp.. .it was well covered in the print media.

    Continuing Dental Education Program

    ICD Section VI, Eastern Zone organized a CDE on 07 May 2024. The topic was “Orthodontics-  Treatment Modalities of Class II Malocclusion… by Fellow Prof Dr. Neal Bharat Kedia . All the ICD Fellows of Bihar along with many other Dental surgeons  attended the CDE. Zonal Regent Dr.Amit Ram Organized  the CDE…Fellow Dr. Anurag Rai  talked extensively about the functioning of ICD. Dr.Amit Ram also talked about the future projects of ICD..

    Celebration of Womens Day, Jharkhand.

    Celebration of Women’s Day by International College of Dentist’s Section 6 East Zone
    in association with Hazaribagh College of Dental Science Jharkhand.

    Tooth brush and toothpaste were distributed and Free dental check-ups were done for accompanying lady guardians and ladies from Surrounding villages.
    They were educated about the importance of Oral hygiene maintenance.
    The Principal Prof Dr Sri Krishna, Vice Principal Prof Dr Ankur Srivastav & Dr Pravin Shrinivas Secretary HCDS extended their Support towards the event.
    This event was carried out by Prof Dr Anshu Sahu Deputy Reagent East Zone & Prof Dr Saurav Purbay under the Guidance of Prof Dr Rajeev Lall

    Women’s day 8th March 2024 , ICD Section VI Eastern Zone

    On the eve of Women’s day on 8th March 2024 , ICD Section VI Eastern Zone organized a health camp for Women only…Fellow Dr. Shubham organized the camp…where she talked about oral health and general health….She distributed sanitary pads , medicines and fruits. A very well organized camp…where more than 200 women were benefited.

    Mega Dental Health camp in the slums of Patna on 03 March 2024

    ICD Section VI.Eastern Zone organized a mega Dental Health camp in the slums of Patna on 03 March 2024
    More than 100 children were examined… Zonal Regent Dr.Amit Ram organized the camp along with Fellow Dr.Subham Kumari, Dr Rishu Raj, Dr Diksha. IPP Dr.Rajeev Lall was also present during the camp.
    Tooth brushes, tooth pastes and medicines were distributed among the patients.
    The health camp was a major success.

    Behavior Management of Pediatric Patients

    ICD section VI Eastern Zone Fellow Dr. Saurav Purbay along with IDA Dhanbad branch organized a CDE on “Behavior Management of Pediatric Patients” by Dr Anshuman Jha (Pedodontist) on 30th April 2023 in Dhanbad.

    The CDE was attended by a number of Dentist and students of Jharkhand.
    Dy. Zonal Regent Eastern Zone Dr.Anshu Sahu was instrumental in organizing the event.

    Dental Screening dental camp was organised by Dr Antarika Gogoi ICD Fellow

    On 28 April 2023 , A dental Screening dental camp was organised by Dr Antarika Gogoi ICD Fellow under the guidance of ICD Section 6 Reagent East Prof Dr Amit Ram & Deputy Reagent Prof Dr Anshu Sahu . The team of Dentist included senior dentists Dr Kriti Paul, Dr Shahjahan Ahmed, Dr Nokmera Marak, Dr Ivaniecheya, Dr Kritika Mazumder, Dr Shashwati with Regional Dental College Dispur.

    Camp was held at Udayachal High School, Guwahati , in which 126 patients screened & 30 patients treated in the Age range of 7 to 16 years .

    Findings in the screened children were as follows -Dental caries we’re found in 63.7% Gingivitis in 83.3% Malocclusion in 27% & ideal oral condition in less than 0.6 %
