ICD Section VI West zone Regent Dr Yogesh Chandarana and Dr Chandarana family recently received 2 Guinness World Records for the ‘Largest Collection of Toothbrushes’ and the ‘Largest Display of Toothbrushes’ in the World. Dr Yogesh Chandarana who has been collecting things related to Dentistry since 1975 as his hobby, started with collection of postal stamps on Dentistry and has over 7000 items in the form of India’s First Dental Museum (Dr Chandarana Dental Museum). His collection of toothbrushes includes toothbrushes made out of bone and having Badger and Horse tail hair bristles from the 1880’s. He also possess Cellulose, Hard rubber, wooden handle toothbrushes. His collection includes the world’s first commercially available electric toothbrush from Broxodent Squibb to the first cordless electric toothbrush from GE to the latest Amabrush. Totaling to 2371 toothbrushes he is the only dentist in the world to attain this feat. His Dental museum has earned a place in the India Book of records and Asia book of records.
